When Does Medicaid/Medical Assistance pay for an abortion?
There are instances when Medical Assistance will pay for an abortion for a woman who lives in Pennsylvania. Those are:
- If a woman has been raped.
- If the life of the woman is at risk due to physical or mental illness.
